<p>You will receive the utilities via email. Once you receive the file(s), follow the appropriate steps to download and run the utility.</p>

<li>On the email, right-click on the attachment (Reset3004.rename2exe), and select<em> <strong>Save As</strong></em></li>
<li>In the <em>Save Attachment</em> window, click on <strong><em>My Computer</em></strong> in the left-hand pane.</li>
<li>Double-click on <strong><em>Local Disk (C:)</em></strong></li>
<li>Double-click on the <strong><em>Pastel07 </em></strong>(or <strong><em>Xpress07</em></strong>) folder</li>
<li>Next to the <strong><em>Save</em></strong> button at the bottom, there is a field for the <em>File Name</em>. Currently you will have <em>Reset.rename2exe.</em></li>

<li>Close Pastel Payroll on the <strong>Server </strong>and on the <strong>Workstations. </strong></li>
<li>Download the update from our website on www.pastelpayroll.co.za, by clicking on the option to “Download Latest Version”.  For your convenience save the update file onto a memory stick.</li>
<li>On the <strong>Server</strong>, paste the update file onto the Desktop.</li>
<li>Double click on Pastel Payroll 2011 Update 2.exe.  Follow the prompts.  You will have a new icon on your Desktop.</li>
<li>Open Pastel Payroll on the <strong>Server </strong>and select Help&#8230;About. Check that the Pastel Payroll version is 2011 Update 2.  If not, run the update file again.</li>
</ol>
<p><em>            NOTE</em>: If you are prompted to register your payroll follow the registration procedure:</p>
<p>Select Help&#8230;Registration and follow the prompts.</p>

<li>Close Pastel Payroll on the <strong>Server</strong>.</li>
<li>(This will have to be done on all the <strong>Workstations</strong>).      On your <strong>Workstation</strong>, paste the Update file onto your Desktop.</li>

<p>Make sure the UIF number from the <strong>Labour Department</strong>, and the PAYE no. are set up in your company parameters.  Go to Setup, Company Parameters.  On that screen, bottom right, enter the UIF and PAYE number.  (This is not the UIF number that is on your Emp 201 but original one you got when the company began.)</p>
<p>Once that is done go to View, Statutory Report, UIF Declaration.  On the Employee Filter screen select the relevant employees and click Ok.</p>
<p>The UIF Electronic Declaration Screen is displayed.  Check that all the information is correct.  Leave the Declaration Status as Test for the first time, when submitting thereafter click on the arrow and change to Live.</p>
<p>In select a Directory, select your Company Name. (or you can create a folder in your company called emails and in that create folders for the different months of the year. You would then double click on emails and then double click on the month and then click ok.</p>
<p>You can then go and email it via an attachment . (which will be saved in Payroll, company name, email and the month)</p>
<p>If the process was successful, a screen will be displayed to confirm this.</p>
